The website will have new areas, other features and a section dedicated to fans.

Flamengo launched its new website in beta on October 27th. Currently in transition, the site has incorporated new content and has just migrated the news produced in the previous version. Now, users can find news published by Agência Fla since May 2007.

The new website boasts greater stability, a new design, and a new architecture. Its main menu highlights Flamengo's sports, with a focus on soccer, rowing (where the club originated), and basketball. Other sports are grouped under "Other Sports." Institutional and membership matters are under "Club." Marketing has gained its own section, where visitors can learn about sponsors, club partners, licensed products, and other initiatives. External websites directly related to the club, such as Cidadão Rubro-Negro and Embassies, for example, are now more accessible—they can be viewed in the top tabs.

Information is the priority. Agência Fla is the highlight. With four random highlights, Agência Fla prioritizes news, with a more contemporary visual presentation that emphasizes images. Internal pages facilitate navigation through other, more recent news. New content is being created, such as "Você Entrevista," which allows users to submit questions to a previously announced name. This new feature debuted with Nunes, the top scorer in the finals. In addition to soccer coverage, the official website provides information on competitions in other sports, which don't receive as much coverage in the mainstream media.

Another new feature is the appreciation of the club's history, with a dedicated section, which tells, for example, details of the journey that led Flamengo to win its main titles.

A new section will be launched soon, Nação Rubro-Negra. With many opportunities for interaction, the space will highlight the fans. "We want the new website to be geared towards Flamengo's target audience: its fans, who are arguably the club's greatest asset," says Ricardo Hinrichsen, executive director of marketing.

The new www.flamengo.com.br is still in Beta, with a series of improvements that will be implemented over the coming weeks. This initiative is from Flamengo's Marketing Department, with development by the Official Website Content Management team in conjunction with HP Mais.
