New UNICEF representative in Brazil visits Flamengo

Institution reiterates partnership and signs agreement for training course for club professionals

Gary Stall, the new representative of UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) in Brazil, visited Flamengo's headquarters in Gávea on Thursday morning (June 14.06). Received by club president Patricia Amorim, the director reiterated the partnership between Flamengo and the institution. Furthermore, the meeting established an agreement for a training course for all Flamengo professionals who work with children and adolescents, such as preschool teachers, team leaders, and others. Also present were Judge Siro Darlan, Vice President of Communications and Marketing Henrique Brandão, and Director of Social Responsibility Mauro Chaves.

The training course will be held at the end of the month at the club's headquarters and will be divided into three parts: in the opening lecture, Judge Siro Darlan will speak about the importance of the Child and Adolescent Statute; then, the UNICEF representative will give a presentation on the work carried out by the institution worldwide and, specifically, in Brazil and the importance of the partnership with Flamengo; finally, the decalogue will be read, the set of ten principles related to the protection and promotion of the rights of children and adolescents - athletes and non-athletes - inside and outside the club.
