FLAMENGO PRESENTS NEW STADIUM PROJECT ONLINE

Hot site has images and a manifesto supporting the work

August 21, 2007 – Clube de Regatas do Flamengo launches this Tuesday a website about the Gávea Revitalization Program (www.flamengo.com.br/revitalizacao/), with images and information about the construction of its new stadium in Gávea, Rio de Janeiro. At the website, members and fans of the Club, soccer fans and the entire population of Rio de Janeiro will be able to sign the "I want it!" manifesto in favor of the project.

The website's objective is to provide information about the project, answer questions, and demonstrate the importance of the Gávea Revitalization for Rio de Janeiro's socioeconomic development. It also provides views of the sports complex's interior and exterior, as well as testimonials from Flamengo fans and prominent figures in favor of the Gávea Revitalization.

The Gávea Revitalization Program consists of four projects: the construction of the Flamengo stadium, new Olympic sports facilities, the expansion and completion of the clubhouse, and the construction of the Rowing Center of Excellence on Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. Integrated with the stadium will be a shopping, entertainment, and community area open to the public. This commercial area is necessary to make the entire $75 million project economically viable.
