After receiving a visit from US President Barack Obama and, in addition, giving an official shirt to the leader of "Uncle Sam's" land, President Patricia Amorim was honored with a painting. The gift was personally presented by Kevin Hunter, a Marine and a key member of Obama's security detail. He came especially to Gávea to pay tribute and, once again, thank Flamengo for their hospitality.

The painting received last Monday (21.03) by Patricia Amorim has a photo of the US president's helicopter in front of the White House, as well as a thank you text: "Presented to CLUBE DE REGATAS DO FLAMENGO, In appreciation for your loyal and dedicated support to Marine Helicopter squadron On. March 19th—21st, 2011"
