Flamengo and Olympikus have had a partnership since 2009 that goes beyond the confines of sports supplier and club. The reason? Perhaps a quick understanding of what the country's most popular club represents. Others might say it was the investment made in football, which culminated in winning the sixth championship. But, ultimately, this combination of factors, combined with the range of products offered to fans, made this "marriage" successful. And this Tuesday (August 31.08), the launch of another casual line of Fla/Olympikus products promises to mark the beginning of another season filled with "good fruits."
The Olympikus Flaconcept store, located at the club's headquarters in Gávea, welcomed executives, advisors, fans, and journalists for the launch of Flamengo's new casual collection. Actors, musicians, and top scorer Deivid modeled the products, which, in total, now reach a whopping 181 products launched by the sports brand bearing the red-and-black symbol. It's worth noting that both the previous models and those launched this Tuesday (August 31.08) are already available at points of sale throughout Brazil.
Flamengo's Vice President of Marketing, Henrique Brandão, represented President Patricia Amorim at the event and highly praised Olympikus' initiative.
"The president always attends our great partner's events, but today she had a public hearing at the City Council and couldn't make it. She would undoubtedly be delighted to see, once again, progress in the relationship between Olympikus and Flamengo. This casual line, which has been a success since last year, promises to once again offer fans another way to always be with Flamengo. And, for the club, it's another way to receive royalties from product sales. Congratulations to Olympikus! It was another great goal," said Henrique.
On the other hand, Fernando Costa, product manager at Olympikus, also didn't hide his happiness in launching more and more options for the red-and-black to wear Flamengo on a daily basis.
"Flamengo is our biggest showcase. We want to show that we are a cutting-edge sports brand, and that's why we're committed to offering these products to fans. A sportswear supplier can't just deliver the uniforms, sign the check, and walk away. We want fans to carry the red-and-black with ever-increasing style and good taste," he concluded.
The highlight of the parade were the polo shirts from the sixth championship and, especially, the retro goalkeeper shirt, gray, worn in the 80s by Zé Carlos, and the vintém parrot model.
