Recently inaugurated, Flamengo's ombudsman office is already recognized for its efficiency. In an article written by journalist Bernardo Pombo, from the blog "pombo sem asa" on globoesporte.com, the Flamengo ombudsman service was rated as the second best in Brazil. After a simple question about tickets, the reporter received a response from Flamengo within an hour and a half.

The 'Contact Us' or 'Ombudsman' link on football club websites is one of the tools that has barely evolved in recent years. Getting a response was once nearly impossible. Today, the task is a little less complicated, but a test conducted by the blog shows there's still a long way to go.
Of the 20 clubs in the Brazilian Championship Series A, only eight (Palmeiras, Flamengo, Figueirense, Corinthians, Grêmio, Fluminense, Coritiba and Botafogo) responded to an email with a very easy question to answer, about tickets.
"Hello, I'm going to the next game with a group of five friends and would like information about tickets. Thank you in advance, best regards."
The quickest response was from Palmeiras, with a simple "the official website will inform you." It's already in effect. The second fastest was Flamengo, which provided a protocol for tracking the query on the club's website. It worked well, with a detailed response an hour and a half later. Besides Flamengo, Fluminense also uses the code to track the query on its own page.
The quickest answers:
1 – Palmeiras – 43 minutes
2 – Flamengo – 1h30min
3 – Figueirense – 3h30min
4 – Corinthians – 3h40min
5 – Grêmio – 6:40 am
6 – Fluminense – 8am
7 – Coritiba – 25h
8 – Botafogo – 36h
They did not respond, six days later: Inter* (see observation below), Avaí, Atlético-PR, Vasco, São Paulo, Santos, Cruzeiro, Atlético-MG, América-MG, Atlético-GO, Ceará and Bahia.
Responding to emails is the bare minimum. It's a sign of the club's respect for its greatest asset: the fans.
