The Fla Concept store, in Gávea, welcomed this Thursday (May 12.05) red-and-black personalities for the debut of the project "Papo de rubro-negro" (Red-and-Black Chat), which aims to bring together collectors, historians, journalists, writers and all people interested in collections and general topics linked to the club's grand history. The honoree of the day was the friendly cartoonist Lan, who had 22 drawings on display, showing the 'red-and-black carioquice'. Participating in the happy hour were Rui Castro, Chico Caruso, Antônio Pedro, Jaguar, Evaristo de Macedo, Chico & Alaide, Antônio Augusto Abranches, Hélio Ferraz, Henrique Brandão, Adílio, Julio César Urigueler and other personalities.

Moved by the tribute, Lan said he was thrilled to learn he would be showing his drawings to former players. One of the pieces that caught his attention was one in which he depicted Adílio's genius.

"I'm very happy to be here today with these players who have given me so much joy throughout my life. It's a great feeling," said the cartoonist, who said he became a Flamengo fan in 1953.

\

"I participated in the Pan-American Games in Argentina in 1950. There, I met my first Brazilian friend, journalist Otelo Caçador, who, during our farewell drunkenness, made me promise that if I ever went to Brazil, I would support Flamengo. In 53, when I arrived in this wonderful country, I became a Flamengo fan and was even lucky, as the team won the Carioca championship for the third time. You can't think about Rio de Janeiro without thinking about beautiful women and soccer. You can't think about soccer and beautiful women and not think about Flamengo," Lan said.

The cartoonist also said that in all his years as a Flamengo fan, Rondinelli's goal against Vasco in 1978 was the one that moved him the most, as it demonstrated the entire red-black spirit.

"It was a magical moment. He jumped higher than everyone else and I in the stands jumped even higher than him to head the ball. But he fell to the ground and I to the cement. I got hurt and almost died," recalled the cartoonist, who took the opportunity to send a message to Flamengo fans.

"I've been a Flamengo fan for a long time. The fans have to be patient. We have one of the greatest players I've ever seen in our squad. Maradona himself said he was a genius. We have Ronaldinho Gaúcho, and the fans can't get on his case like that," he warned.

One of the evening's hosts, the director of the Flamengo Museum, Mauro Chaves, spoke a little more about the project.

"The general idea of ​​the "Papo de Rubro-negro" project is to bring together collectors, historians, journalists, Flamengo personalities, and anyone interested in the club's collections and general topics to exchange ideas, talk about Flamengo, and demonstrate that the club can indeed serve as a benchmark for statistics and as a source of research on culture and football in general. We plan to hold an event every month, and the first one is taking place today, about the great cartoonist Lan. We have 22 drawings on display here, demonstrating the love of the Italian and honorary Rio citizen for Rio de Janeiro, and especially for the Flamengo club," said the director.

For Flamengo star and former coach, Evaristo de Macedo, the tribute to Lan and the project is a great idea that needs to be repeated more often by Rubro-negro.

"Lan manages to convey what it means to be a red-and-black fan in his features. A fitting tribute. I hope the project continues. This first day was a great success," said Evaristo.

Adílio, who took countless photos with Lan and created a painting in his honor, said that no one could ever convey what he felt on the field, only Lan. For the player, the cartoonist was a huge help to Flamengo fans.

"I look at the painting and think about everything I felt on the field. I thought I was a monster with the ball at my feet. I loved it! A lot of people bought newspapers and magazines because of Lan. He made a lot of people become Flamengo fans," said the star, who, like the other red-and-blacks, had fun at the event this Thursday.
