On a sunny afternoon with clear skies, Mengão's Feijoada took place last Sunday, February 15th. Those who showed up at Flamengo Rowing Stadium in Lagoa were entertained by the Mangueira samba school's drum section and the Karta Markada Group.

The event, now in its second year, was well-received by attendees. "I thought everything was perfect. The venue is beautiful, the feijoada was excellent, and the samba was fantastic. It needs to be more publicized," says Paula Palacios, 36, from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul.

For Mary Hellenn Rodrigues, the feijoada prepared by Marion's team was wonderful. "I really enjoyed it. The drums were great, and the sun helped. The event has a lot of potential and needs more publicity," says the 21-year-old advertising student.
