The Brazilian National Team's visit to Flamengo's headquarters has given the club a fresh look. The Olympic team trained at Gávea before departing for the London Games. The Brazilian delegation praised the club's facilities and heads to the Games with the club's positive energy.

"Flamengo being able to host a team of this magnitude makes me happy. I'm sure we'll be lucky enough for the team to win this long-awaited medal. For the club, it's a privilege, an achievement. We were able to bring this team here. All the players were satisfied with the structure. And from then on, our football team now has a renovated locker room and a clubhouse in better condition. We've put in a lot of work. Not just me, but the entire board," says the president.

Patricia Amorim is even happier with Flamengo's potential participation in the long-awaited Olympic gold medal race, a feat still unprecedented for Brazilian football. 

"The feeling is that this gold could be born in Gávea. It could make a difference, in a wonderful place like Rio de Janeiro, right here in our home. The Brazilian National Team is the best we have. And the best we have is in the Best in the World. I wish them good luck and may they bring home the gold and celebrate in Gávea," he says.

Rodrigo Paiva, CBF press officer and former Flamengo athlete, was impressed with the revitalization of the club's headquarters. He praised the new management and, as a member, said it's a pleasure to see Flamengo renewed. 

"My life at Flamengo began very early, when I was still a child. I spent 15 years rowing and another 10 working as a supervisor and advisor. My professional life began here. I'm very happy to return and see the club well maintained. To see that there are people who truly care about the importance Flamengo has for its fans and members, just like me. It's a pleasure to attend a clean and organized club. It's a different vibe. And the facilities meet the conditions a football team needs," comments Paiva.

Rodrigo hopes to return to Rio de Janeiro smiling and with Olympic gold in his luggage. 

"Christ isn't there with open arms by chance. I'm sure he'll bless us and bring a very positive energy to the Olympics. And as Patrícia said, Gávea is open for us to come back and celebrate this gold," concludes the national team advisor.
