The sponsorship agreement between Flamengo and BR Foods goes beyond simply displaying the Batavo brand on the club's uniforms. At this afternoon's press conference in Gávea, president Patricia Amorim stated that the club sought to link the partnership to social responsibility initiatives. "The counterpart should always be the excellent training of athletes, coaches, and citizens. With this in mind, we established this partnership," she noted.
The first action will be carried out in today's game (27/01), at 19:30 pm, against Americano, at Maracanã. "Starting with this game, for each Flamengo fan, Batavo will be donating a liter of milk to Haiti," explained Henrique Brandão, Flamengo's vice president of Marketing.
Activation - Flamengo will receive a total of 22 million for the sponsorship. The 4 million will be paid upfront and 12 installments of 1,5 million, for a one-year contract. In addition to these initiatives, Batavo plans to invest in sponsorship activation initiatives. "Activation is the second stage we're initiating. This includes all aspects of relationships with retailers, consumers, and internal marketing initiatives," explained Eric Boutaud, Batavo's marketing director.
The contract provides for three friendlies, but according to Patricia Amorim, these matches will be scheduled according to the football department's planning. We don't have details about the matches because we are following technical criteria. We don't want to jeopardize the team's performance at any time."
"It depends on the calendar, we'll fit in the friendlies. We'll have to reach a mutual agreement on these details," said vice president of marketing Henrique Brandão.
