Physical assets are a concern for the president
Patricia Amorim highlights the importance of structure not only for football but also for members

The renovations at Gávea Stadium, the construction of the George Helal Training Center, and the studies to bring Flamengo's stadium project to fruition are clear evidence that president Patricia Amorim's administration intends to leave a significant legacy for the club. Not only in terms of technical aspects, with titles on the field, but also with improvements off it.
It's true that structure alone doesn't guarantee results in football. Flamengo and Fluminense, the last Brazilian champions, who lack a permanent training center or their own stadium, are examples of this. For Patricia, however, it's important to look at this from another perspective: if titles come without such structure, imagine what happens with well-executed behind-the-scenes work.
"Rio de Janeiro football doesn't yet have the same structure as São Paulo, and we know that. Flamengo and Fluminense are clubs that don't have a stadium or training center, so this proves that structure alone doesn't win games, of course. But imagine with structure? If without it, we can win titles and results, when we have it, we'll be even better," explained the president, who sees the concept of structure beyond the four lines.
"I'm not just concerned about the physical assets of Flamengo's players, I've been concerned about the club's physical assets, as well as making good contracts in all areas, strictly following what was planned," he recalled.
Aware, however, that football is the driving force behind fans' passion, Patricia understands that the sport needs to deliver with titles next season and says she will do everything she can to make that happen.
"I'm at training, at games, and always available from Sunday to Sunday. Football needs to get back to winning ways, and that's the main goal for 2011," he concluded.
