Flamengo fans are still the largest in the country, according to research.
LANCEPRESS!
During an appearance on Monday's "Bem, Amigos" program, striker Ronaldo challenged polls that show Flamengo has the largest fan base in Brazil. However, the 2004 LANCE!/Ibope poll confirms Flamengo's dominance in the country, with 33 million fans (18,1%). Corinthians comes in second with nine million fewer (13,2%).
The survey was conducted between August 19 and 23, 2004, and interviewed 7.207 people. The margin of error is 1,2 percentage points, either way.
