Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, president of Flamengo, received the red-black 7-a-side football team in his presidential office on Friday night (7.06). The team won its third Copa do Brasil title, undefeated, by beating América 4-1 last weekend.

"Representing Flamengo, for a Flamengo fan like me, is very good. I want to thank president Bandeira de Mello and José Moraes (coach and team president). Just stepping into the presidential office makes me emotional. It's a great honor for me," said Vitor "Bolt," the team's speedy winger, who was named the best player in the Copa do Brasil.

In his office, President Bandeira de Mello presented championship ribbons to each player and member of the coaching staff. The club's president also received the Copa do Brasil gold medal.

"I was very happy to see so many quality athletes here wearing the Flamengo jersey, with the sash on their chests and bringing us trophies. It's always good to see Flamengo victorious, and in the case of 7-a-side football, we are more than victorious," said president Eduardo Bandeira de Mello.
