Dear red-black,

I'd like to begin this letter, marking Flamengo's 120th anniversary, by thanking you for your support and for being part of the history of Flamengo. During this time, despite all the goals, all the triumphs, and all the titles, our greatest achievement has been the construction of the Red-Black Nation. We are Flamengo because Flamengo is all of us.

We've reached this milestone—despite some setbacks—proud of what we've accomplished in the past, what we're accomplishing now, and what's to come in the future. While we cheer from the stands, other Flamengo fans from the same nation work day-to-day to take Flamengo to the level we desire, and once there, they'll work even harder to keep it where it will never leave again.

So, congratulations to the employees and service providers who pay their bills on time and wake up early—even on weekends—fueling a virtuous cycle of 40 million examples. Congratulations to every fan and club member who believes in the Flamengo we're building, as big as our dreams. Congratulations to the leaders who sacrifice life's most precious commodity, time, to forge the path to excellence. Congratulations to every Flamengo fan. Congratulations to all of us. And thank you.

Thank you for everything, Flamengo fans. With you by our side, we'll have much more to celebrate in the years to come.

Red-black greetings

President Eduardo Bandeira de Mello
