After more than four years without maintenance, the eight tennis courts at the Gávea clubhouse are being renovated and should be fully completed by the end of this week. The six clay courts will have all their walls and fences painted and restored, as will the two cement courts, which will also be refurbished to ensure the comfort of members and athletes playing at the club.

"This work was the first of many others that will still be carried out in tennis. This was a request from president Patricia Amorim and other improvements will still be made for those practicing this sport at the club," said the vice-president of Administration and Fla-Gávea, Cacau Cotta, who had the support of the general director of tennis João Glicério and the director of Fla-Gávea, Ruy Vieira.
