Flamengo present at the classic between Argentina and Brazil

It won't be just Corinthians fans who will be able to see some of their former Corinthians players again at the Brazil-Argentina match this Saturday in Rosario. Flamengo fans will also be represented, and very well, by some Brazilians.

Of the 23 players called up, only Adriano still plays for Flamengo. But three other players were developed by the club. Julio Cesar, Juan, and Felipe Melo took their first steps in football at the Gávea club.

Emperor Adriano played his first game for Flamengo's professional team in 2000. Criticized by the fans, he ended up leaving a year later and returned in 2009. Julio Cesar was the one who stayed the longest at Gávea: from 97 to 2004. Next comes Juan, who played from 96 to 2002, and Felipe Melo, from 2001 to 2003.

In addition to the four red-and-black revelations, two others who will be present in the classic also played for Flamengo. André Santos spent a year at Gávea (between 2005 and 2006) and the Argentine Mancuso, now Maradona's assistant, was a defensive midfielder for the Rubro-Negro in 96 and 97.
