Next Saturday (September 29.09th) will be a day of inaugurations throughout Flamengo's social headquarters in Gávea. The Togo Renan Soares Gymnasium, "home" of volleyball and futsal, will open its doors, completely renovated, starting at 10:30 am. The renovation was done in partnership with the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), which covered the expenses of replacing the floor, at a cost of US$ 90.

Since the renovation was carried out by employees from the Gávea headquarters, Flamengo saved R$ 300 and only had to pay for the materials. Floating parquet flooring based on international volleyball and futsal standards was installed on the court. In addition, all the roof tiles of the gymnasium were repaired.

In addition to Togo, another space that has also been revitalized will be inaugurated on Saturday (September 29.09th) at 12 pm: the FlaPel soccer field. The space received new synthetic grass, after 10 years of using the previous one, benefiting FlaPel and the soccer schools that operate there.

The new lawn will be two-tone and will feature 50mm monofilament yarns, a much more modern technology than that used previously.

Earlier in the year, the Espaço Nunes had already been inaugurated at the same location, featuring new changing rooms and a barbecue area, available for members who use the space.
