Reopenings and professional team training promise to liven up Gávea

This Saturday morning (29.09) promises to be busy at Flamengo's headquarters in Gávea. The professional football team will train at 9:30 am in preparation for the classic against Fluminense, scheduled for Sunday (30.09) at 16 pm, and, in addition, the Togo Renan Soares Gymnasium and the indoor football field, FlaPel, will be reopened, respectively at 10:30 am and 12 pm.
The renovation of the Togo Renan Soares gymnasium was carried out in partnership with the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), which covered the cost of replacing the flooring, which cost US$90. Because it was renovated by employees, Flamengo saved R$300 and only had to pay for the materials.
The FlaPel field has been resurfaced with new synthetic turf after 10 years of use, also benefiting the soccer schools operating there. The new turf will be two-tone and feature 50mm monofilament yarns, a much more modern technology than the previous one.
Earlier this year, the Nunes Space had already opened in the same location, with new locker rooms and a barbecue grill available to members. The improvements were conceived by President Patricia Amorim and implemented by Vice President of Administration and FlaGávea Cacau Cotta.
