Executives from Flamengo, Vasco, Fluminense, Corinthians, Minas Tênis Clube, Grêmio Náutico União, Sogipa, and Pinheiros will hold a new working meeting next Tuesday (March 31st) to discuss the criteria for participation and admission of new members, as well as the internal rules of the Council of Clubs that Train Olympic Athletes (CONFAO). The meeting will take place at Flamengo's headquarters in Lagoa. At 3:11 a.m., the executives will present the decisions and the organization's next steps to the press.

The support expressed by the Ministry of Sports will also be discussed, as it created a tripartite commission with members from the Ministry, CONFAO and the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), to study changes to the Agnelo-Piva Law and meet the clubs' demands.

CONFAO's main demand is the transfer of 30% of the resources from the Agnelo-Piva Law to clubs that invest in the training of Olympic athletes. Currently, all of these resources are transferred to the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), the confederations, and the Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB). CONFAO claims that the training clubs invest in training and are not compensated. The lack of resources is allegedly reducing club investment, weakening the country's performance in international competitions.
