At the General Assembly held this Tuesday (06.12), at the headquarters of Clube dos 13, with the presence of 20 associations, a financial report was presented regarding the debts of Clube dos 13 members to the entity.

The measures that will be taken in the short term to settle the remaining debts were also discussed.

"The report presented demonstrated the enormous effort made by the clubs to settle their financial commitments to the Club of 13. Flamengo is in a very calm situation, since the report showed that we have paid off more than 97% of our past debts to the entity. The small remaining amount will be paid off with the revenue we have to receive until the end of the year," explained the executive director of football, Luiz Augusto Veloso, representing the club at the meeting.

President Fábio Koff also announced that, as soon as the commitments for which he is guarantor are settled, he will call a new Assembly so that the clubs can decide the future of the Club of 13.

At this time, the idea of dissolving the entity was discarded due to the debts that the clubs still have with the Club of 13.

It was also agreed to a general reformulation and the statute, which will be discussed by a commission formed by Flamengo, Grêmio, Sport, Portuguesa and Corinthians, the latter as a guest, since it left the entity that year.

"The role of this committee is to reflect on the need to improve the level of organization within clubs. Ultimately, everyone must evaluate and define how this can be achieved," he concluded.
