Flamengo Magazine: see how to order by mail

Launched on Friday in Rio, the publication can be ordered from the publisher Sisal.

After hitting newsstands in Rio de Janeiro, Flamengo's new official magazine will be launched this week in nine state capitals: Vitória (ES), Florianópolis (SC), Brasília (DF), Goiânia (GO), Salvador (BA), Recife (PE), Fortaleza (CE), Belém (PA), and Manaus (AM). This is the first phase of the launch. These capitals also supply some nearby cities. In a second phase, the magazine will be launched in the remaining Brazilian states.

But there's another option for securing your copy. Interested parties can place orders with Sisal, the publisher responsible for publishing the book. Simply register by email at atendimento@sisal.com.br. Sisal will contact all buyers to arrange delivery by mail. The cover price (R$8,90) and postage will be charged. Payment terms will be communicated via email. A subscription system is currently under consideration for the future.

Launch Event – The launch event will be tonight at 19 p.m. in the trophy room at Flamengo's headquarters in Gávea, Rio de Janeiro. With 68 pages and an editorial line entirely geared toward fan interests, the magazine is distributed nationwide. The cover of issue one features striker Adriano, the subject of the issue's interview.

The Heroes section focuses on Flamengo's greatest idol, Zico. "Prata da Casa" tells the story of Matheus, son of Bebeto, who won the Brazilian Championship with the team in 1987. The 15-year-old is a left-winger in the club's youth academy. The Around the World section highlights goalkeeper Júlio César, a starter for the Brazilian national team who came up through Gávea. Finally, "Jogaço" recounts the thrilling moments of the match between Flamengo and Atlético Mineiro 3-2 in the 1980 Brazilian Championship final. This initiative was created by the club's marketing department.
