Joy is one of the characteristics that define the red-blacks. And after winning the first competition of the season, Flamengo intends to throw a big party on Carnival Saturday (05.03), at the Monte Líbano club, in Lagoa. The Red-Black will hold its official ball (Red and Black) in great style and with a heavyweight king: Ronaldinho Gaúcho.

In addition to the star's guaranteed presence, the official Mengão ball will be hosted by Flamengo actress Christine Fernandes. Fans in attendance will also share the space with other Flamengo stars, including players from the professional team and swimmer and Olympic champion Cesar Cielo. The Guanabara Cup trophy, won last Sunday (February 27.02), will also be on display for viewing.

Bringing back the glamour of the event, famous during Rio's Carnival, the current board promises a great party for all red-and-black fans.

"We know we can't stop working, but it's important to celebrate an important achievement like this Guanabara Cup. I imagine all Flamengo fans must be very happy, and there's nothing better than an official Flamengo event, with Flamengo's face, to demonstrate this. I urge everyone to be there, with us, along with Flamengo athletes and personalities, exalting our colors," said president Patricia Amorim.

Fans will be able to purchase their tickets at the club's headquarters in Gávea, at the Monte Líbano club in Lagoa, at the Banco de Areia and South stores, at the main shopping malls in Rio de Janeiro, and at Ingresso Mais website. Prices range from R$40 (half-price) to R$60 (half-price), in the first batch.

Little red and black dance
The little Flamengo fans will also have their own space to enjoy Carnival 2011. Flamengo's social media department, in partnership with the agency mini famosinhos, organized two large children's balls at the club's headquarters in Gávea. The events will take place on March 6th and 8th in the main hall.

Tickets went on sale on Monday (28/02) at Flamengo's headquarters. Children who are members will pay R$10 and non-members R$15. Adult members will pay R$20 and non-members R$30.

It is worth mentioning that at the red-black ball there will be a parade, lots of games, a confetti battle and a contest to choose the ball princess.

Best age
To serve all Flamengo fans, Flamengo will also hold the "Baile da Vai`Idade" (We Are Age Ball). The event, geared toward seniors, will be held on March 4th, from 15 pm to 20 pm, in the club's main hall in Gávea.

Tickets for the Baile da Vai`Idade are now on sale at Flamengo's social department, at the club's headquarters and cost R$20 (full price – non-members), R$10 (half price – non-members) and R$5 (members).

Under the command of Eduardo Canto, the event will feature the election of Miss Vai`Idade.
