Accustomed to large crowds at its matches, Flamengo has moved to Engenhão (João Havelange Olympic Stadium) due to the closure of Maracanã. And if fans aren't used to going to the club's new home, the club's official website offers a guide to getting there and going.
Below is basic information to help Flamengo fans arrive and depart from Engenhão with peace of mind. Click here for ticket purchasing information.
SUBWAY-TRAIN
Fans can reach Engenhão via the Metro-Train connection, informing the ticket office at the boarding station of their intention to make this connection. Fans can get off the metro at Central or São Cristóvão stations and proceed to the train stations with the same names. There, they will have various options to Engenho de Dentro station, with intervals of between five and ten minutes. There is a walkway in front of the south sector.
TREM
Fans can reach Engenhão by train. Just get off at Engenho de Dentro station and head toward the stadium. There's a walkway in front of the south section. Supervia usually schedules extra trains on game days, including evening matches. The concessionaire recommends fans purchase the MultiPass Card, which includes pre-paid round-trip tickets, to facilitate boarding.
The red-black can also use the train-bus integration, which takes place at the Central do Brasil, Méier, Cascadura, Madureira, Marechal Hermes, Deodoro, Bangu, Campo Grande, Nova Iguaçu and Santa Cruz stations.
Do not, under any circumstances, take trains to Saracuruna, Gramacho, Caxias (lines that run through the suburbs of Leopoldina), and Belford Roxo (Auxiliary Line). All of these branches, mentioned last, go to other points in Greater Rio.
BUS
The lines that pass through the stadium are as follows: 238, 239, 254, 255, 260, 267, 277, 284, 296, 298, 383, 391, 457, 485L, 494L, 505, 535, 544, 560, 580, 606, 623, 624, 627, 636, 638, 639, 650, 651, 652, 653, 661, 662, 663, 669, 673, 675, 676, 678, 680, 684, 687, 688, 689, 690, 696 and 729.
For those coming from the South Zone, the lines that pass by the stadium are: 457 and 485L.
For those coming from downtown Rio, the lines that pass by the stadium are: 238, 239, 254, 261, 277, 284, 296, 298, 267 and 260.
For those coming from Tijuca, the lines that pass by the stadium are: 606, 638 and 639.

669: Pavuna/Méie. Stop in front of the stadium.
650: Mal. Hermes/Engenho Novo. Stop on Avenida Dom Hélder Câmara (road close to the stadium)
284: Praça Seca/Tiradentes. Stop on Avenida Dom Hélder Câmara (road close to the stadium)
298: Castelo/Acari. Stop on Avenida Dom Hélder Câmara (road close to the stadium)
NPV
Fans will also be able to travel to games at Engenhão using a van service. ST Viagens has started offering this service, called tourcedor, which costs an average of R$30 (round trip). Transportation will be available at various locations throughout the city. To book, fans must call 3328-7474 or visit www.stviagensrio.com.br up to 24 hours before the game.
The company also informs that boarding will always take place two hours before the start of the matches (on weekends) or three hours (midweek). Return departures will take place 30 minutes after the games.

The Engenhão stadium has its own parking lot for fans. Fans arriving by car can park in the North 1 Parking Lot (1.500 spaces), located on Rua das Oficinas, for 10 reais. Norte Shopping and the Walmart supermarket, located relatively close to the stadium, also offer paid parking.
It is worth noting that the Engenhão parking lot opens two hours before matches and only closes after the last fan has collected their vehicle.
