Luís Miguel explained how he became a Flamengo fan and what he does to watch Portugal's games.

In an interview with the Redação Sportv program, on subscription TV, journalist Luís Miguel Pereira, who will launch this Thursday (02.12), the Flamengo Bible, at Fnac in Barra Shopping, at 20 pm, spoke a little about the publication and about his inexplicable love, according to him, for the club from 'the other side of the Atlantic'. Portuguese, he has nurtured a love for the Rio de Janeiro red-black team since childhood, when he saw the golden squad win everything.
But even though Luís, a Benfica fan, didn't have access to today's technology, such as the internet, at the time, he did everything he could to be closer to his Brazilian club.
"I've always been a Flamengo fan. It's a team that exerts an inexplicable fascination. And I think Zico is largely responsible. He's the guy, as you say here in Brazil. I was 11 or 12 years old when the Club World Cup was won. From the other side of the ocean, I watched the games. Not on television, since I couldn't. But I remember a French magazine well, which had a lot of information about Flamengo. I bought it and cut out everything related to the club. It's a passion," he said.
Luís also admitted that it is easier to follow Flamengo's games these days, but no less tiring.
"I always follow Flamengo. I stay at home, especially on Sundays, without sleeping, listening to or watching the games online. I'm cheering in front of the computer at 5 in the morning," he revealed.
Before ending the interview, the writer/journalist explained how he managed, even without coming to Brazil, to write a book, a bible, rich in information about the Most Beloved.
"Flamengo is an international club, so it's easy to get information. I have about 300, 400 books about football in my house. Many of them are English, who have a culture of writing about the subject. And there I was able to find a lot. Furthermore, I accessed and researched a lot about the club online. Flamengo goes beyond football. It's much more than a club. It touches other areas of society, such as music, literature, poetry, and politics," he concluded.

The launch event for the "Bíblia do Flamengo," which will feature the author and Zico, will be open to fans, with no formal invitations required. Starting this Thursday, the publication promises to be a must-have book for all Flamengo fans.
