At lunch this Saturday (18.08), after having sweated their shirts off in the last training session before the classic against Vasco, this Sunday (19.08), Flamengo's players and coaching staff had a special meeting. Judoka Sarah Menezes, gold medalist in London, staying at the hotel where Flamengo is based, learned of the presence of the red-black squad at the same location and declared herself as a fervent fan.

Sarah was welcomed by coach Dorival Junior and president Patricia Amorim, who presented her with an official Flamengo jersey. However, the gifts didn't stop there. The golden judoka explained that, besides her, her entire family is also a strong Flamengo fan. Therefore, the Flamengo delegation presented the star with another sacred jersey, intended for Sarah's brother.

During her conversation with the red-and-black squad, Sarah wished them luck in this Sunday's derby and promised to cheer them on for another victory. She certainly brought positive energy.
