The time is now. After a 2-1 loss to Palmeiras, Flamengo finds itself with the perfect opportunity to escape the relegation zone. It will be five consecutive games at Maracanã.

Of these, three are games against opponents ranked below tenth (Juventude, Sport, and Figueirense). There's also the derby against Botafogo, which is going through a turbulent period, and the match against Goiás. Despite being in eighth place, the green-and-white team has lost seven of its ten away games.

At Maracanã, Flamengo won its last two matches. First, 2-1 over Náutico and then 1-0 over Fluminense (watch the goal in the video above). And, according to the coaching staff's plan, earning at least 13 points out of a possible 15 would permanently lift the red-and-black team out of the relegation zone.

With three games in hand over most of their opponents, Flamengo sits in 18th place with 18 points from 17 games. The first team outside the danger zone is Atlético-PR, with 23 from 20 matches.
