Shortly after the triumph over Náutico, Flamengo's official website launched another new feature: a section dedicated to fans, Nação Rubro-Negra. "It's a gift to our fans on the day the club celebrates another anniversary," says executive marketing director Ricardo Hinrichsen.
The idea is to give the fans the same attention as other important sections of the site, with more fan-focused features. "Some of these areas are collaborative. Fans themselves can submit photos, texts, and story suggestions," explains Juan Saavedra, content manager for the official website.
One of these collaborative areas is "Flamengo until death", which features profiles of fans who are "crazy about Flamengo".
In "Emotion in the Heart", interested parties can submit their own texts about memorable games.
There are three galleries to house photos of fans: "Flamengo in the world" displays images of fans wearing the Sacred Mantle somewhere in Brazil or the world; "Hei de Ser" (I Will Be), with photos of young fans, sent by their parents, being initiated into the art and obligation of supporting the Most Beloved; and "Sempre Amado" (Always Loved) with photos of fans alongside their idols.
Another attraction is the blog section, which debuts with three authors: Mauricio Neves, Rodrigo Tolentino, and Adriano Melo.
Nação brings links and texts about Club initiatives aimed at fans, such as Embassies of the Nation, Gease-Fla and Cidadão Rubro-Negro, among others.
Other features and interaction possibilities are being analyzed for implementation in the future.
