Soccerex, the international football fair, opened on Monday (November 28.11) at Copacabana Fort in Rio de Janeiro. As expected, Brazil's most popular club was present at the event with a beautiful stand, displaying the trophy for the World Cup, the Copa Libertadores Cup, and the 2011 State Championship.
Nation's favorite, striker Thomás took advantage of his day off to attend the event, visited the red-and-black stand and was impressed by the trophies on display.
"I thought the stand was very beautiful, with Flamengo's trophies. I'm happy to be here and represent Flamengo. Soccerex is the biggest football event in the world," said the striker.
Another person who was full of praise for Mengão's stand was longtime idol Petkovic. A self-proclaimed Flamengo fan, the Serbian star couldn't contain his excitement upon seeing the Flamengo stand at Soccerex.
"Wonderful, spectacular, beautiful... It really is very cool," commented Pet.
Also in attendance at the event was Flamengo president Patrícia Amorim. Always smiling, the Flamengo president launched Flamengo's cell phone, licensed by ZTE. Striker Thomás also attended the launch and even received a cell phone as a gift. "Very cool," the player celebrated with the gift in hand.

Thinking about the passion that many football fans have for their team, ZTE Corporation ("ZTE"), one of the global leaders in telecommunications equipment and network solutions, and Zero-X, its national distributor, launched today a customized device for Flamengo fans.
With a distinctive look, which follows the colors of Brazil's most beloved team, the ZTE champions' cell phone is a dual chip device (allows two numbers to operate on the same device), has a shortcut to social networks, MP3 Player, FM Radio, camera, Bluetooth and 1GB memory card, with the red-black anthem and eight personalized wallpapers.
Present at the launch were, among other personalities, the club president Patrícia Amorim, the vice-resident general, Helio Ferraz, the vice-president of marketing Henrique Brandão, the executive director of marketing Marcus Duarte, Renato de Luizi Júnior and Sérgio Abujabra, representing Zero-X and Radio Wei, and Alexandre Siqueira, Sales Director of ZTE Brazil.
"It's a beautiful, fashionable device, and I'm sure it will be a huge success. We are a nation with millions of passionate fans, and I believe fans will be pleased with this new product featuring the club's brand and colors," said president Patricia Amorim.
"ZTE positions itself as an innovative supplier with products aligned with the new market needs. Therefore, the device is aimed at fans looking for a device with everyday functions where they can now also show their passion for Flamengo," said Radio Wei, vice president of ZTE DO BRASIL.
The new ZTE champions' cell phone will be available in the main stores in Brazil from the beginning of December, with an approximate price of R$299,00.
