Absent from the Monza double-header in October, Enrique Bernoldi is back in the Flamengo car for the final round of the 2009 Superleague season. The driver from Paraná will compete this weekend in the sixth round of the season at the Jarama circuit in Spain, where the 11th and 12th rounds of the year will be held.

"It's always good to get back in a single-seater. It's the type of car I like the most, and that I grew up driving. Even more so on a track where I've already achieved several victories in formula categories, such as F-Renault and the World Series," says the former F1 driver, who missed the Monza circuit due to a date conflict with the FIA GT. Bernoldi finished the FIA GT season in seventh place, with a victory at Paul Ricard, and intends to maintain his good form with the red-and-black car.

"I had a very special year. I got back to winning, back to racing single-seaters, started a new phase driving touring cars, and had my second child. To end the year perfectly, nothing like a good result in Jarama, adding podiums and, who knows, maybe even winning. One thing is certain: I will give my best," concluded the 31-year-old driver.
