If it's up to the Urubuzada fans, Carnival will start earlier in red and black. On Sunday, before the Fla-Fluminense match, the now-traditional Urubuzada Block, in its third year, will take place in Tijuca. This year's theme is "Year 10, Our King is Arthur," alluding to Gávea's eternal number 10, Zico, in 2010. The parade begins at 12 p.m. at Praça Vanhargem, and at 15 p.m., the parade begins toward Maracanã. All red-and-black fans are invited.

The parade will gather at Vanhargem Square, near Shopping Tijuca. The bloco will then head down Maracanã Avenue to the Bellini Statue. The parade features numerous attractions, including past idols to entertain the crowd, the coronation of the bloco's queen and princess, and the bloco's Nota 10 percussion section, which promises plenty of samba and excitement. The Samba Urubuzada 2010 CD will be available for sale at the parade for just R$5,00, along with the bloco's traditional t-shirt for R$15,00.

"It's a celebration for all Flamengo fans. The bloco was a success in its first two years, and we hope to improve each year. The gathering begins at noon to get the fans excited before the game. All Flamengo fans are invited to this carnival, and we hope the celebration continues after the game with a victory," said the president of the fan group, Vitor Pimenta.

When journalist Celso Garcia took 14-year-old Arthur to train at Clube de Regatas do Flamengo in 1967, few could have believed that this boy, from a humble family, born in the Quintino neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro's suburbs, would later become the greatest player the club has ever produced. The player's journey at Flamengo, one of determination, willpower, and, above all, love for the sacred jersey, is well known.
