Tuesday was a day of heat shock for Flamengo's players. In the morning, the team held a training session in Gávea under a blazing sun. After lunch at a hotel in Rio, the group headed to Teresópolis, where they encountered a completely different climate.

On the way up the mountain, it was very foggy and difficult to see the road. The players donned their coats and trained at Granja Comary under light rain and strong winds.

Despite the sudden change in temperature, midfielder Ibson didn't complain.

"I've been through much colder weather than this. I'm used to Portugal," says the former Porto player.

Flamengo returns to Rio on Friday morning. The match against Atlético-PR will be next Sunday at the Maracanã. In third place, with 58 points, the Rio de Janeiro team can secure a spot in the Copa Libertadores if they win and Cruzeiro loses to Sport in Recife.

Fans: no fuss, but present

In Teresópolis, around 50 people watch training in the rain

No hysteria or overconfidence. But on Tuesday afternoon, Flamengo fans once again lived up to their motto "Wherever you are, I'll be." Despite the low temperatures and persistent rain, around 50 people turned out at Granja Comary to support the team.

Entry to the training center was prohibited at the request of the CBF. So the red-and-black fans improvised. Some stood on the fence with a huge flag. Others stood on the side wall of the training field.

As the players left, there were shouts of encouragement and quick requests for autographs.

"With each passing day, the fans amaze me more and more. Their affection is impressive," says midfielder Ibson.
