Nunes and Adílio scored the goals in the victory over Liverpool and celebrated the biggest title in Flamengo's history

This Saturday, December 13th, is a special day for all Flamengo fans. Exactly 27 years ago, Flamengo won the Club World Cup with a brilliant 3-0 victory over Liverpool (ENG).

The goals in that epic final in Tokyo, Japan, were scored by Nunes (two) and Adílio. This victory was the icing on the cake for that generation of Flamengo, who also won four Cariocas (78/79/79/81), three Brasileiros (80/82/83) and one Libertadores (81).

Members of this generation have a meeting scheduled for next Monday. The reason for the gathering is the 30th anniversary of Rondinelli's goal in the 78 Carioca final.
