Fan makes donation to the Club's Historical Heritage
Rubro-negro provides magazines and newspapers that document the club's titles and great victories

Last week, Flamengo received a donation of approximately 30 newspapers and magazines depicting the club's historic moments. Flamengo fan Silvio Pedreira Pereira de Sá brought the publications from Brasília to donate them to the club's historical collection. The material includes the club's most important titles and victories between 1986 and 2004. These newspapers and magazines include posters and articles about the 1987 Copa União, the 1992 Brazilian Championship, the 1999 Mercosul Cup, the 2001 Champions' Cup, and others.
Silvio, 45, decided in his teens to start collecting important publications about Flamengo. "Always after a big victory, or after we were crowned champions, I would run to the newsstand and buy everything about the Mais Querido. Back then, there was no internet, so I always wanted to archive those historical materials," he said.
Believing the publications should be in the club's possession, Silvio contacted Flamengo to deliver the newspapers. Despite donating the valuable material, the fan remembers that the Rubro-Negro's most memorable moments will remain with him. "I remember when my father allowed me, at 12 years old, to go out to celebrate the 1981 World Cup title. Zico was and always will be my idol, and I'll never forget that team. Furthermore, another game that really impacted me was the Copa União semifinal, where we beat Atlético-MG 3-2," he said.
The material provided by Silvio will be revitalized and properly archived at Flamengo's Historical Heritage, and will be part of the collection of the future Flamengo museum.
