Thus, Zico kicked off the meeting with representatives of the "With Zico for Flamengo" campaign, who went to meet the club's executive director of football and president this Tuesday (17.08/XNUMX), in Gávea. Galinho and Patricia Amorim heard some embryonic proposals and received a promise: unconditional support for the Rubro-negro.

Aware that the meeting was special, not only for the approximately 50 fans who were present at the meeting, but also for herself, Patricia Amorim celebrated the fact that she was able to bring a spontaneous movement of red-black fans into the club.

"Flamengo is grateful for all of this. I imagine you're feeling the same way I did when Zico said yes. I fulfilled a big dream by having him join the football department, and I emphasize that he has our trust. He arrived to demonstrate Flamengo's greatness. The board believes deeply in his work, and having the fans as partners is essential. My role is to ensure Zico has the opportunity to carry out his projects, and I'm working hard to achieve that," said the president, who will carefully study the proposals submitted by the representatives of "With Zico for Flamengo."

"We already have some projects underway and we will try to align them with this initiative, which is very beneficial to Flamengo," explained Patricia Amorim.

Accustomed to, but no less moved by, the fans' support for the working methodology he implemented for Flamengo, Zico reiterated that nothing and no one is greater than the Flamengo institution. And, after these wise words, he explained that with the fans on their side, it's easier for Flamengo to achieve the goals everyone desires: victories.

"Everything we do, all our work, is for you, the fans. Ever since I became a Flamengo fan, I've never thought about taking a cent from the fans. I think they already give us a lot by supporting the team at games. They always do their part. And I expected nothing less than this unconditional support," said Zico.

Investment for the future - Galinho also made a point of showing fans that his experience in football shows that the completion of the CT, his priority since the first day as manager, will leave Flamengo with the possibility of always fighting for titles.

"When I said yes to this project, I immediately thought about completing a training center for Flamengo. It's obvious that a team can win championships without a training center. That happened here last year. But my experience in football shows me that teams with this space achieve much more than others. Not that these teams always win, but they will fight most of the time. Anyone who thinks this is nonsense, in my opinion, doesn't understand football. Flamengo's big turnaround will be with the completion of this training center."

Zico also spoke about the possibility of signings before the transfer window closes this Thursday (19.08/XNUMX). Keeping an eye on the market and working to bring new players to Flamengo, he revealed that the fans may have good news.

"We're obviously thinking about strengthening the squad, and I hope to have good news by Thursday. We have some things in the works, but I'll only talk about them when they're finalized. Besides, I always tell us to believe in our group. We have a strong team. We're in eighth place, one point behind the top four, and everything seems lost. Are we really not good enough? Are there no players left who were champions from last year? Is everything really wrong? I don't think so. And I told the players that they need to believe too. If they believe, they're already halfway there," Zico concluded.
