Fans gather to help Fla em Dia
Fla Churrasco, a fan movement in Curitiba, creates promotions and brings together passionate fans to cheer
By Communication - Official Club Website - inSince the end of July, the movement Fla in Day, whose goal is to pay off all of the club's outstanding debts to the Federal Government, has been making a difference. More than one million DARFs (Federal Revenue Collection Documents) have already been issued, meaning that, as of Friday (August 22.08), R$364.490,00 had been deducted from this debt. The amount reached these figures—and promises to go even further—thanks to the commitment of the World's Largest Fanbase. Driven by the passion of Flamengo fans, the movement once again demonstrates Flamengo's strength throughout Brazil, including in Curitiba.
Five years ago, a group of fans of the Mais Querido club from the capital of Paraná began gathering at a bar to watch the club's games and support Flamengo. Since then, the so-called Fla Churrasco has strictly followed the motto "Nothing about Flamengo, everything for Flamengo," providing essential support to the movement. Fla in Day.
With around 50 club members gathered for each match, Fla Churrasco has been developing promotions to encourage donations to the project. During the team's last trip to the capital of Paraná, more than a thousand pamphlets were distributed explaining how the initiative works and encouraging DARF payments. "Our initiative was well received. Everyone is already familiar with the project, which is really cool. Many have already said they've donated, while others assured me they would do so as soon as possible," said Darlan Nitz, one of the members.

The effort of this group of fans to obtain deposits for the Fla in Day It's nothing new. Since the movement began, Paraná residents have been developing creative ways to help. "Recently, we ran a promotion where whoever arrived at the bar where we watch the games with the highest DARF would win dinner at a nice restaurant in the city. We raised a good amount with this opportunity. Previously, we had already run another campaign where whoever took the most interesting selfie with a Caixa cashier when paying their DARF would win five free beers at the red-and-black bar where we met. We're always looking for a different way to engage the fans," said Darlan, discussing an idea with the Mais Querido sponsor.
Fla Churrasco is just a small but important part of the Flamengo fan base in Curitiba. Joining these fans and helping with such passionate activities is simple: just show up at one of the games. They meet at Rua Urbano Lopes, 211, in the Jardim Botânico neighborhood of the capital of Paraná.
