With the participation of the eight Clubs based in Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, the 13 Lagoa Tennis Tournament began on the 2008th. The competition is aimed at amateur tennis players, men and women, over the age of 35.

The competitions, always very competitive and intense, will be held until October 26th, at the headquarters of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.

In the first week, 20 matches were held in the women's category. Special mention went to Marlyta S. Bastos and Georgine Deierl, our "old ladies" over 60, who, despite fighting bravely, ended up losing. Even so, they left to a standing ovation from everyone present.

In the men's category, 40 matches were played. CRF lost only two and remains in contention in five other categories. In the 55-year-old category, the red-and-black duo delivered a spectacular victory, winning 1-6 and 1-6.

The Tennis Tournament is, according to tradition, known among sports lovers and held annually at one of the participating Clubs.
