The Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice inaugurated this Wednesday, on Ilha do Urubu, the Outpost of the Fans' and Major Events Court - Luso Brasileiro Stadium. The Jecrim (Fan Court and Major Events Court) will operate in the facilities next to the west stands on match days. During matches, a judge, prosecutors, public defenders, and experts from the Public Security Department will be on duty.

For Marcelo Frazão, Director of New Business at Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, the court will be a major boost to the safety of fans attending the team's games on Ilha do Urubu. 

"The presence of the judiciary on Ilha do Urubu, through the Jecrim (State of the Judiciary), is essential for the speed and effectiveness of guaranteeing fans' rights as established in the Fan Statute. Promoting stadium security is a priority for Flamengo, and the inauguration of this outpost is a major achievement toward this goal," said Frazão, who represented the club at the ceremony.  

The president of the Portuguese Athletic Association, Dr. João Maria do Rego Gonçalves, highlighted the partnership between the club that owns the stadium and Flamengo, both in management and in the development of the site. 

"I want to thank Flamengo and the Court of Justice for this partnership. Portuguesa is very small compared to Flamengo, but we are able to work together. Having Jecrim here is very important to us."

Jecrim's "debut" on the Island will be in the Flamengo x Palestino match, for the Copa Conmebol Sul-Americana.
