With the commitment to help in human growth and development, Unicef ​​(United Nations Children's Fund) and Clube de Regatas do Flamengo committed to deepening the relationship that has existed since 2011. On Friday (25.01), the president of Rubro-Negro, Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, met with Gary Stahl, Unicef ​​representative in Brazil, to plan the new direction of the union.

"Flamengo has worked closely with the most socially vulnerable children and adolescents who seek through sports the realization of a dream and also the opportunity for growth and human development," Stahl commented when discussing the partnership. The director also highlighted the Mais Querido's commitment to "strengthening its social responsibility practices" in the coming years. "We see UNICEF as an important partner for the image we want to build," the president stated.

In this new perspective, the idea is to further leverage the support of Nação Rubro-Negra to promote the rights of children and adolescents. The partnership will include developing an internal work plan to change the club's culture and improve its existing social initiatives. UNICEF promises to leverage its experience gained in other countries and sports clubs, such as Barcelona.
