Zico embraces campaign to support APAE-RIO

Continuing its active policy of social responsibility, Flamengo has once again thrown itself into a campaign in support of the Association of Parents and Friends of the Exceptional (APAE-RIO).
This week, from the 23rd to the 27th, the "National Week for People with Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities" is taking place at the entity's headquarters in Tijuca and after some lectures, this Friday, the 27th, at 11 am, it will be Arthur Antunes Coimbra, Zico's, turn to give a word of motivation and encouragement to the children, representing the club.
Clube de Regatas do Flamengo will also deliver part of the material collected during the campaign carried out in recent days at the club's headquarters, donations of toys and will also take shirts donated by the players of the professional squad Juan, David, Marcelo Lomba and Ronaldo Angelin.
"Flamengo plays an important role in society, especially in Rio de Janeiro. Whenever we can use the club's image to benefit serious institutions that genuinely want to do good for others, we will help," said Patricia Amorim.
APAE is a philanthropic institution founded in 1954, committed to the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. Its work has led to the empowerment and inclusion of those it serves.
