In another edition of “Field of Dreams – We Will Play Together”, held last Tuesday (06), the project visited the community of Borel, in the North Zone of Rio, to promote another selection with more than one hundred young football talents who are part of “Escolinha 15” and “Cruzeiro Figueira”, social projects that work with children and teenagers in the region. It is always good to emphasize that the initiative, organized by the club's Youth Football and Social Responsibility departments, is the result of a partnership between Flamengo and the Sub-Prefecture of Grande Tijuca.

Former player Andrade, a Mengão idol and ambassador for the project, attended the event, which included donations of sports equipment from the club to "Escolinha 15" and "Cruzeiro Figueira." These two social projects have over 15 years of experience working with young talents who play soccer and face the challenges of life off the field.

In addition to recruiting promising young athletes, "Campo dos Sonhos/Jogaremos Juntos" also provides training for educators who use soccer as a tool for social inclusion for children and young people living in the communities. The project uses socio-emotional learning through a methodology that fosters values such as resilience, perseverance, and self-confidence, rooted in the red-and-black DNA.

Next week, “Campo dos Sonhos – Jogaremos Juntos” will visit the Turano community to hold the eighth and final stage, with a new selection among children and teenagers from the “Gaviões de Ouro” social project.
