The 'Field of Dreams/We Will Play Together' project was present in two more communities in Rio de Janeiro to promote new selections: the first took place last Thursday (25) in Ladeira dos Tabajaras, in Botafogo, South Zone of Rio. The second, held this Wednesday (30), was in Morro São João, which is located in Engenho Novo, in the North Zone. The initiative, conceived by the Social Responsibility and Youth Football departments of the CRF, is the result of a partnership between the Gávea club and the Subprefectures of RJ.
In both, the project evaluated hundreds of boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 15 with talent for soccer. At Morro São João, in addition to Andrade, the 'Campos dos Sonhos' ambassador, Júlio César Uri Geller was also present at the event, closely following the selection process.
In addition to discovering promising young athletes, 'Campo dos Sonhos/Jogaremos Juntos' also offers training for educators who use soccer as a tool for social transformation for children and young people living in communities. The project uses socio-emotional learning through a methodology that fosters values such as resilience, perseverance, and self-confidence, rooted in the club's core values.
