Flamengo's youth team overcame Duque de Caxias this Saturday morning in Gávea, defeating their opponents 3-0, with a stellar performance from striker Igor Sartori. The match was part of the 5th round of the Taça Rio, and the result kept Flamengo top of Group B with a 100% record. The goals in the match were scored by Igor Sartori, Thomás, and Douglas Baggio.

The Mais Querido's undefeated campaign in the U-20 competition has been attracting the attention of fans, who turned out in good numbers at Gávea. The team's greatest asset is its collective strength, which has been working hard since its elimination from the Guanabara Cup and knows that this is the only way to achieve its goals. Next Saturday, the red-and-black youth can secure a spot in the semifinals of the competition. Coach Cleber dos Santos's team will host Fluminense on Saturday at 15 pm. Admission to the match is free.

"Fluminense also won their game and are a great opponent. We have high expectations for the derby. The players are focused on securing the top spot in the group. We want to finish the qualifying round in first place, and a victory over Fluminense is crucial to that," said coach Cleber dos Santos.

Against Duque de Caxias, Flamengo took to the field with Luan, Lessinho (Vitor Hugo), Fernando, Samir and Felipe Dias; Recife, Lorran (Luan) and Caio Quiroga; Thomás, Igor Sartori and Pablo (Douglas Baggio).
