Flamengo is out of the São Paulo Junior Cup. After a 2-2 draw in regulation against CFZ, the red-and-black team lost in a penalty shootout. Flamengo's Guilherme and CFZ's Carlayle were the stars of the game; each scored both goals for their team. However, in the shootout, the red-and-black team underperformed (Lucas and Michel missed) and ended up losing 4-2.

Flamengo dominated the first half. They dominated the game, passing the ball around, and maintained the same rhythm as in previous matches... But, for the first time in the Copinha, they fell behind. Playing defensively and relying on counterattacks, CFZ managed to score in the 13th minute through Carlayle, who received a great pass behind the Flamengo defense and slotted it past Marcello Vidotti. The goal, however, didn't dampen the spirits of the Gávea team.

With Guilherme and Eliabe inspired, Flamengo continued to hammer the opposing defense. In the 16th minute, the number 10 nearly scored a stunning goal with a shot from outside the box, but the CFZ goalkeeper made a fine save. However, seven minutes later, there was no way out. Guilherme attempted a cross from the left wing, but hit the ball so well that it surprised the Brasília goalkeeper and ended up in the right corner: 1-1.

"It was a cross, I tried to put it to the far post, the ball curved and ended up in the goal. We rehearsed the celebration yesterday and today. It was a pleasure to cross the field and celebrate with my teammates," said the number 7.

Guilherme himself nearly turned the game around soon after, but the best for the 17-year-old was saved for the second half. The red-and-black pressure continued in the second half, and Lorran, in the fifth minute, even hit the post. It was just a harbinger of things to come. In the 14th minute, Guilherme received a great pass from Alex and skillfully slotted it into the left corner past goalkeeper Leo to turn the game around.

But the night had another protagonist: Carlayle, CFZ's number 10, who also skillfully scored his second goal of the game and tied the score again in the 31st minute. Both teams tried to score again, but the tie—a fair one, by the way—persistently held, and the game went to a penalty shootout.

"It's about having peace of mind. This is part of their career and also their training. They have to be used to it. They trained well and we're going to trust our goalkeeper and the kickers," said coach Armênio Moura before the penalty shootout.

But that didn't happen. Flamengo underperformed in penalty shootouts. Lucas and Michel missed the first two kicks, giving Flamengo a cold shoulder. The Brasília team, on the other hand, converted all of its penalties and won 4-2. Anderson and Christianno scored for Flamengo.
