Competition: Otávio Pinto Guimarães Tournament (Final - Second Leg)
The Flamengo youth team, nicknamed "Garotos do Ninho" (Flamengo's youth academy players), from the U-20 team, continues its winning streak in a very successful season for the category. Having already secured titles in the Copa São Paulo, Taça Guanabara, Campeonato Carioca, and the Trofeo Dossena in Italy, coach Maurício Souza's squad is aiming for nothing less than its fifth title in 2018. The first step towards this goal was taken last Saturday with a 1-0 victory over Fluminense in the first leg of the Torneio Otávio Pinto Guimarães (OPG) final, at the Laranjeiras Stadium. With this result, the "Garotos do Ninho" only need a draw in the return leg, scheduled for Friday at Gávea, to secure their tenth trophy and further solidify their status as the most successful team in the competition's history.

The 1-1 draw in São Paulo leaves the tie open and brings the decision for a place in the final to Rio de Janeiro. A simple victory on Thursday, in a match scheduled for the Jânio Moraes Stadium in Nova Iguaçu, will qualify the Garotos do Ninho for their second Copa do Brasil final in the six editions played so far. SporTV and ESPN Brasil will broadcast the decisive game live.
