The Mais Querido U-20 team, led by coach Maurício Souza, debuts in the second phase of the OPG Tournament by visiting Fluminense in Laranjeiras this Saturday afternoon. This stage of the competition features two groups of four teams each. They face each other within their groups in a home-and-away format, and at the end of the six rounds, only the leader of each group will qualify for the championship final, which will also be played in home-and-away matches. Botafogo and Audax complete Group E.

After beating Santos 5-2 in their debut at Ilha do Urubu e defeat Nova Iguaçu in the single semi-final match of the Rio Cup last Sunday, the boys of The U-17 team, led by coach Márcio Torres, returns to the field this Wednesday afternoon to face Santos again, at Vila Belmiro, in the second leg of the national competition. The team can lose by up to two goals and still qualify for the quarterfinals, where they will face the winner of Internacional and Cruzeiro. The match will be broadcast live on SporTV.

With little time to rest, the Ninho Boys return to the field on Saturday, this time to face Botafogo at the Engenhão stadium in the first leg of the Taça Rio final, the second round of the state championship. The Guanabara Cup champions, having won the same match in regulation and on penalties, will be crowned Rio de Janeiro champions for the second time if they also win the Taça Rio, without having to play in the final. 

Rio das Pedras x Flamengo - Wednesday (18), at 9 am, at the Colônia Stadium

After finishing second in the first half of the season, just two points behind Botafogo, the U-16 team, led by coach Ramón Lima, leads the second half of the season alongside Fluminense, both with 20 points. This Wednesday, the final round of the second half of the season will be played. In addition to the champions of each half, the team with the best overall points record will also qualify, excluding the scores of the two first-half champions. In this scenario, a victory over Rio das Pedras is enough for the Garotos do Ninho to secure a spot in the final triangle of the 2017 Guilherme Embry Championship. 

Fluminense x Flamengo - Saturday (21) at 10 pm, in Laranjeiras

With ten wins in eleven games, the U-15 team, led by coach Ramon Lima, secured the best record in the Rio Cup. This gave them the advantage of playing the only semifinal match of the first half, against Vasco, at home. In a match in which they had complete control, Mais Querido won easily by 3x0. The opponent in the final will be Fluminense, and the decisive match will be played in Gávea. On Saturday, the teams play the first game in Laranjeiras.

Saint Kitts x Flamengo - Sunday (22) at 10:40 am, in Gávea

After a strong run in the Copa Dadazinho and reaching the semifinals of the national competition, the U-14 team, led by coach Mário Jorge, returns to the Metropolitan Championship, the state championship for the category, with two important matches this week. On Thursday, the Garotos do Ninho visit Botafogo at CEFAT. And on Sunday, they face São Cristóvão at Gávea. After losing to Botafogo in the Guanabara Cup final on penalties, the Rubro-Negro team is second in the first round, three points behind leaders Fluminense, and is already mathematically qualified for the quarterfinals of the Rio Cup.

Like the U-14s, the U-13s, led by coach Leonam Kasali, are also in second place, three points behind Fluminense. However, with a game in hand over their rivals, they have a perfect record of seven wins in seven matches and will still be seeking first place in the final rounds. After losing the Guanabara Cup final to Botafogo, the "Mais Querido" is already mathematically qualified for the quarterfinals of the second round of the Metropolitan Championship.
