Flamengo's youth football has always been (and always will be) the apple of the eye of the red-black fans. And in the 2013 Carioca Championship, in the Under-20 category, the Mengão boys are putting on a show! Last Saturday (26.01), at Caio Martins, in Niterói, the team beat Volta Redonda, 1 x 0 - goal by right-back Digão - and finished the 3rd round in sole leadership of Group B, with seven points, followed by Fluminense, with six.  

 

The Juniors' Regulations were modified for the 2013 State Championship. Now, the competition follows the professional model, with division into groups instead of a round-robin format.

 

The Flamengo boys' next match is this Thursday (31.01), at 16pm, against Vasco da Gama, at the opponent's training center, in Itaguaí.
