Less than 24 hours after debuting in the São Paulo Junior Football Cup by thrashing Ji-Paraná (RO) 6-0, the Garotos do Ninho were divided into two groups in the first training session ahead of the second round match against Aimoré (RS), scheduled for this Saturday (06), at 19 pm, at Arena Barueri. The ten starting outfield players remained at the hotel where the team is staying for a recovery training session with the medical and physiotherapy departments, while starting goalkeeper Hugo Souza joined the athletes who did not start yesterday's match for ball training led by coach Maurício Souza at the Aldeia Barueri field.

Flamengo, the clear leader of Group 21 of Brazil's premier youth soccer competition after the first round, can secure its place in the second phase of the Copinha with another victory over Aimoré. If this happens and Oeste and Ji-Paraná draw in the second round's preliminary round, the Mais Querido will already top the group and remain in Barueri for the next phase of the competition.

"The rout in the opening game, when it's normal to feel anxious, undoubtedly gives our group a lot of confidence. Especially because we played well and played with confidence throughout the 90 minutes. We go into the second game with great humility and our feet on the ground, but with the peace of mind of knowing that we are wearing the biggest jersey in this country and with the goal of going very far in the competition," said midfielder Pepê, one of the team's standout performers in the opening game.
