Days after win the Adidas Generation Cup title with 100% success rate, In an important international competition held in Dallas, United States, Flamengo's U-17 team turned its attention back to the State Championship. Playing with an alternate team composed of only five athletes who were in Dallas (Otávio, Dhouglas, Sidney, Denilson and Arthur), as the champions only returned to Brazil on Monday, the Garotos do Ninho hosted Cabofriense on Wednesday afternoon (04) in Gávea, in a postponed match of the first round of the Taça Guanabara. With a solid performance and controlling the duel throughout the 90 minutes, the Rubro-Negro won the game 4-0 (Denilson [2], Arthur and Lázaro), and reached four points. On Saturday (07), the Adidas Generation Cup champions return to the field and host Vasco, in Gávea, at 11 am. In the preliminary round, Flamengo and Vasco also face off in the third round of the Guanabara Cup in the U-15 category, at 9 a.m. Both games will be open to the public.

The Rubro-Negro's first good attack came in the 15th minute. Dhouglas passed the ball to Denilson, who got to the bottom of the box and crossed into the box. Paulo Victor controlled the ball with a good chance to finish, but was blocked by the defense and couldn't get a shot on goal. The Boys from the Nest opened the scoring soon after, in the 18th minute. Denilson received the ball at the edge of the box and unleashed a powerful shot. The ball deflected off Paulão before bulging into the net, leaving goalkeeper Patrick with no chance to save. 

In the 32nd minute, Denilson took a free kick that threatened Patrick's goal. Flamengo pressed forward in search of a second goal. In the 35th minute, Sidney crossed to Arthur, who missed a good chance to extend the lead. In the 36th minute, Mayquinho crossed to Matheus Vieira. The header was powerful and on target, but Patrick made a great save, palming it out for a corner and preventing another goal for Flamengo. In the 40th minute, Denilson took a chance from outside the box, which Patrick made another good save. 

The second half began with Flamengo pressing, just as the first half had ended. However, the "Garotos do Ninho" managed to translate their dominance into goals more quickly. Just four minutes in, Denilson received the ball at the edge of the box and slotted it home to extend the lead. The third came in the ninth minute. Paulo Victor stole the ball in midfield and led a counterattack. He burst into the box at speed and crossed for Arthur, who controlled it skillfully and fired a cross for the third. The rout came in the 43rd minute, with a beautiful finish from outside the box by Lázaro, which sealed the match's final score.
