Current champions of the Conmebol Libertadores U-20, the Garotos do Ninho debuted with a rout in this year's edition by beating Olimpia-PAR this Saturday, 6-1, at the Gunther Vogel Stadium, in the city of San Lorenzo, Paraguay. The red-black goals were scored by Daniel Sales, Felipe Teresa, Shola (2), Rayan Lucas and Guilherme.

Flamengo's next match in the competition will be held next Tuesday (4), when they will return to the field to face Danubio-URU, at 19 pm, at the Carfem stadium. It is worth remembering that the red-black team is in group A. 

The game

In a lively first half, Mengão managed to open the scoring after just four minutes. Right-back Daniel Sales received a superb pass from the defense, sprinted, dribbled past his opponent, and with a left-footed shot, it found the top corner of the Paraguayan goalkeeper's net. A stunning goal!

In the 14th minute, it was Shola's turn to receive the ball on the attacking left flank, clear the marker, and unleash a powerful shot that the goalkeeper partially saved. The rebound, well-positioned Felipe Teresa, tapped it into the back of the net. Still in the first half, Olímpia pulled one back through Eduardo Delmas. 

After the break, Mais Querido maintained the same momentum, and early in the second half, Shola extended their lead. A well-worked play in midfield saw Daniel Sales released, reach the byline, and deliver a precise cross to the Nigerian striker: 3-1. 

And the red-and-black kids' show didn't stop there. In the 15th minute, Rayan Lucas hit a bomb from outside the box into the goalkeeper's top corner to make it four.

Two minutes later, midfielder Guilherme scored. The number 10 pounced on the rebound of Shola's shot that hit the post after a cross from Daniel Sales, the game's standout performer.

To close with a flourish, once again, Shola received the ball inside the area, easily passed the marker and scored the sixth and his second in the show.
