Flamengo's Under-14 team, led by coach Leonam Kasali, has been enchanting everyone during the IberCup in Madrid, Spain. With a perfect record of five wins in five games played so far in the tournament, the "Garotos do Ninho" (Flamengo's youth team) are thrashing everyone in their path. To date, the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) has scored an impressive 26 goals, an average of more than five per game. And they haven't conceded any.

The campaign

Right from the start, Mengão crushed Boadella (ESP), winning by an undeniable 7-0. In the second round, another rout. This time by 4-0, over Maccabi Petah (ISR). The third red-and-black challenge in the IberCup was against US Saints (ESP), with a 5-0 victory for Mengão. On Monday morning (11), the Garotos do Ninho took to the field and beat Moratalaz (ESP) 4-0.

In a match valid for the second phase of the competition, Flamengo returned to the field this afternoon and won by a large margin once again. The undeniable 6-0 victory over Belenenses (POR) puts Flamengo in sole possession of first place in its group, and they only need a simple victory over Las Rozas (ESP) tomorrow to secure their place in the grand final of this important and traditional international competition.
